The March film, Waking Ned Divine was a great end to the St.Patrick's Day weekend. A few of us went onto Hardy's Well pub and after a tense tie-breaker won first prize in the pub quiz!
The April showing is not the usual 3rd Sunday of the month but on Sunday 28th April and is an eco-theme film night. The doors open at 5.30pm for refreshments and a chat, then we start with a brief presentation from the Manchester Carbon Coop followed by the film: Beasts of the Southern Wild.
Then onto Hardy's Well.

"Images of Women" by Dorothy Ennis-Hand

New film showing- NOTE the new April date!
We have an exciting programme of films for March, April and May. For March we have an after film drink at Hardy's Well and please note the April date is not the usual 3rd Sunday.

17TH MARCH
St. Patrick’s Day- followed by a social drink and chat at
Hardy’s Well Pub, Wilmslow Road/ Dickenson Road junction.
The lucky winner of the national
lottery is Ned Devine, so taken by his good fortune that he now can't be waked,
because he died from the shock of it! News of the win spread quickly in the
scenic little Irish village of Tully More, but not the secret news of Ned's
demise. With lottery officials closing in to confirm the prize claimed by the
deceased Devine, Ned's closest friends scheme to keep the prize money close to
home, in memory of Ned of course! But as the plot twists humorously, they learn
it is hard is to keep such a secret in a small town.

Hushpuppy, an intrepid
